A lot of February for me is looking ahead--I've been working on the Hancock County Business Conference planning committee and, even closer to home, the Blue Hill 250th celebration of the landing (although the official landing date is April, we've decided to celebrate all year. A bay-side party in April isn't as festive as you might think!).
Chef Devin is doing her own looking ahead--every week I get photos and descriptions of lobster dishes she is trying out (her husband Luke is so lucky!) to see what we might offer this summer. She's off to Blue Hill in New York City for the month of March for a culinary internship. Her fanclub eagerly awaits her return...
We are hooked, in the meantime, on the cheeseburgers at 66. I always order mine with blue cheese and grilled onions. You heart-healthy diners will be happy to know that you can order it with a baked sweet potato--you don't have to have the scrumptious sweet potato fries.
A friend highly recommended Monica's Blueberry Wine Truffles. I may have to plan a roadtrip, hint broadly to a friend,

From the guestbook: "We had such a wonderful time at the Inn. I can't remember having such a warm, wonderful stay." "Just wanted to let you know how you really hit the spot..." The Suite, with the woodburning fireplace and selections of CDs, is a perfect place to spend a romantic weekend. With the wine shop just down the street, local restaurants offering winter specials, and Fairwinds Florist around the corner, it's easy to make a good impression on your loved one.
We had guests recently who are all about making good impressions in the world. You must go to Growing a Greener World's website right now! Growing a Greener World with Joe Gardener is a television series

Lots of local theater, music, art, and political happenings in the area--keep your eye on the calendar of events from Penobscot Bay Press. We've had no problem battling cabin fever this winter! If you need a suggestion or a getaway, come see us.
